What is TrarrenShot? TrarrenShot is a macOS screenshot tool that adds scroll capture, OCR text recognition, annotation, and a color picker to your workflow.

Is TrarrenShot free? Yes. The free tier covers area screenshots, OCR, and basic annotation. Pro features are coming soon.

Capturing

How do I take a scroll screenshot? Press ⌃⇧3, select the scrollable area, and TrarrenShot handles the rest automatically.

Does scroll capture work in all apps? Yes — any app that supports standard macOS scrolling works with scroll capture, including browsers, code editors, and PDF viewers.

OCR

What languages does OCR support? Over 15 languages via Apple's Vision framework. Detection is automatic.

Is OCR processed on my Mac or in the cloud? Entirely on your Mac. No data leaves your device.

Annotation

How do I blur sensitive information? Select the Blur tool and drag over the area you want to hide. The blur is permanent in the saved image.
