Troubleshooting TrarrenShot
Practical checks for permissions, capture, saving, Preview, Scroll Capture, Live Canvas, and Basic or Plus branding.

Permissions
macOS requires Screen Recording permission for screenshot capture. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and make sure TrarrenShot is enabled, then restart the capture workflow. Scroll Capture does not require Accessibility permission; certain global hotkeys or system integrations may need it separately.
Capture problems
Start One Shot from the menu bar or its configured shortcut. Select the content you intend to capture and keep the selection inside the target window or display. If a capture is still missing, confirm that the target is visible and that Screen Recording permission is enabled.
Save, export, and Preview
Preview shows a floating output thumbnail after Copy, Save, or Share. Use it to confirm the result, pin or move the thumbnail, or open the image and its folder. If saving fails, review the selected destination and choose a folder that is available to macOS.
Scroll Capture
Select the scrollable region, start Scroll Capture in the editor, and scroll the page or document manually at a steady pace. Fixed headers or footers, animation, and dynamic content can affect stitching. Very long output is easier to review when the selected region and capture length stay focused.
Live Canvas
Live Canvas is a screen-annotation layer over the live Mac desktop. Open it from the menu bar or press Command + Shift + backtick. Press Command + backtick to switch to click-through, interact with the apps underneath, and press it again to draw. A Basic active session shows a TrarrenShot logo; exported content follows the separate normal export watermark pipeline.
Basic and Plus branding
Standard One Shot output is not generally watermarked. Advanced Annotation follows the applicable Basic watermark rule, Scroll Capture Basic output includes TrarrenShot branding, and Basic Live Canvas shows a logo while active. Lifetime Plus removes applicable branding according to its entitlement and includes current and future local Plus features; it does not promise separately operated cloud or online services.
